I am using their kit as a foundation for my album this year. Read more about that in my blogpost here.
I'm linking up with Ali Edwards, the brains behind December Daily too.
Some mother's group friends visited this morning and the girls made the most of the sunny weather, rolling down hills and searching for ducks. They also had a fun time dressing up in Christmas dress ups and painting some pine cones to hang on the tree.
After that we were off to Abbie's birthday party where Tilly had her face painted like a tiger. She absolutely loved it and the face painter was so talented. I was a bit proud of my girl for going with what she really wanted and choosing a tiger even though all of the other girls were being butterflies. Life lessons before the age of three! Abbie's mum is expecting their third child soon and I'm so looking forward to meeting this new little bub and taking some photos for their family.
We introduced Tilly to her advent calendars tonight. She is so excited about Christmas!
There was lots of reading of Christmas books by the tree again tonight, this time with daddy.
I loved listening to the story telling and singing taking place as I fed Sam to sleep.
Apologies for the photo quality tonight, it's dark but I really want to post them!
Today I lots of photos that I wanted to include large so I decided to use an insert to feature them. I printed photos from the party as 5x7 and backed them onto slightly larger white cardstock. This made the photos 'pop' more and gave me space for a little journalling. I kept it simple, adding some red wash and the top of a tag before punching holes and popping it in. On the opposite side I also added a wooden star (from the kit) which I sprayed gold.
The reindeer journaling card is velum with gold embossing. It and all other components of the card were included in The Stamp Spot Documenting December 2014 kit (now re available).
Using the insert also allowed me more space on the left page to include the two small photos from yesterday. These were originally omitted, but even today Tilly was talking about the presents and the baby Jesus, so I'm glad that they are now included in our story of December.
