I am using their kit as a foundation for my album this year. Read more about that in my blogpost here.
I'm linking up with Ali Edwards, the brains behind December Daily too.
The Story of Today
December is racing by...
Our day started with a visit to the chiro as we do fortnightly then onto home to wait for Gram to visit. She brought with her some hydrangeas that she struck from her plants a few years ago for us. They are now in the ground and looking good. We spent a little time chatting with our neighbours today and also checking up on Dolly, 'our' pony that we walk and help with who is not at her place this week. I took a big bucket of grass to her, Whitey the goat and the sheep to share this morning and popped in on my friend who is due to give birth any day now!
We have become so fond of our garden, and seeing as we spent so much time in it today I thought that it would be a good idea to feature it today. Our veggie patch is growing at the moment but there's not much to harvest right now after I cleared out the beetroots on the weekend. I've been collecting seeds from plants that we have intentionally let go and we excitedly check on our strawberries, tomatoes, pumpkins, cucumbers, beans and capsicums daily.
The day ended with brave Sam having his vaccinations and Tilly successfully managing day 2 in big girl undies! Woo hoo!
I wanted to include the story of Sam's vaccinations in today's layout but I also wanted to preserve the gardening theme, so I decided to hide the 'jabs' in a 3x4 pull out card. There are photos of this in the gallery. The stars are to protect some modesty. She was really getting into nature! ;)
If you are super attentive you may also notice that the 'plan' for today's page was totally different to what happened in the end. As good as preparation is, it's also good to be free to change your ideas around and capture what you feel is most important on the day.
