I find it really helpful to use these trackers to list ideas for my stories. As others have continued to ask I'm happy to share in the hope that they continue to help you too! Enjoy!

December Daily must be on the way because there's a tracker on my blog! ;) I find it really helpful to use these trackers to list ideas for my stories. As others have continued to ask I'm happy to share in the hope that they continue to help you too! Enjoy!

I always create a simple tracker to help me remember the stories of the season. Here it is if it would help you too! Happy December documenting. The gorgeous image above is a free download from Lily & Aval. http://blog.lilyandval.com/inspiration/free-december-desktop-wallpaper.html
Heading into year 14 of this wonderful project, there have been MANY stories told.
My albums span various seasons of my life. When I sat on my bedroom floor and created foundation pages for my first album, I was a single woman. I was teaching a class of grade 1/2 students and was living in a unit that I had bought. As the years rolled on I started dating my now husband. We got married and bought a house. My albums cover the years where we had no kids. There were pets, babies celebrating first Christmas's. They've been young kids and now, they are becoming more independent (but still young). There have been busy seasons and quieter ones, but regardless of my life stage, there have always been stories to tell. And looking back on my albums now, I love to see what has changed and what has stayed the same. What did I value in that season and chose to include in my album. I thought that it may be fun to make a list of some of the stories that have been told in my albums. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but just a snapshot of some topics that have featured repetitively in this project over the years. Here they are
I hope that these give you some ideas for where to start on your stories. I'm back again for another year of December Daily... even if I do still need to fill the many gaps in my 2020 album. That's what 18 months of COVID and home learning will do to me. ;) I've created these trackers once again to help myself and I'm sharing here if they may help you too. Here's to another year of documenting our Decembers and remembering the magic.
Hi everyone! I'm back with days 5 and 6 for you tonight.
Day 5 is all about the things that we were grateful for on that day (Toby couldn't decide) and also what happiness is... there was crafting, reading and laughing over us dancing on a Jib Jab clip. Day 6 saw us getting a bit crafty. It was really lovely to have the time to do this with the kids. Tilly is natually more crafty than Sam and so we used to spend lots of time creating together. As she's been at kinder this year, that has slowed down a little at home... but having their work in my albums is very special to me. And I love to look back over time and to see what has changed and what stays the same. I love their Santa Koala's- one of our favourite Christmas books to read here. Happy creating! All the joy! I LOVE how this spread has come together.
Today is all about our church family service. It is something that we do really well. There is an energy and enthusiasm around the place on this day that is unique to the community service. The kids from church and the programs that we facilitate throughout the week come together to perform and run the sercice. It is VERY cute! There is then a celebration- crafts, food, jumping castle, games... it's lots of fun. Today's layout is all Ali's kit with the little exception of the numeral 4 which comes from Heidi Swapp's Documenting December kit and the 'celebrate the season' stamp. I cut down some of the 6x8 pages into 2x2 squares and also got into the packaging box and cut that down too! :) I played for a little while with the layout to get it to how I wanted it. I stamped 2 of the Messy Circle stamps on white cardstock and adhered them to the typed paper. The green stickers are placed off of centre on the red paper. How is your project going? Day 3 was started at 11:10pm and completed by 11:30pm last night. A simple collection of photos from our day, not at all Christmas themed. That's completely ok by me.
This day has highlighted some tyical Saturday things for our family- Toby in the garden, planting out our beds for the Summer. Watering the garden as the kids play. At the moment, Tilly is trying to master some gymnastics on the swing set and Sam is very keen to follow daddy around with the watering. I went on a photo shoot too so the kids watched a movie with Toby in the heat of the day. Some sport and a drink on the street with our neighbours is also part of our new normal around here. Why hello there! It must be December because I have logged onto the blog again. ;) I'm not sure that I'll be blogging all of my December days. I'm posting regularly on Instagram as @beckholdermemorykeeping, so feel free to follow me there! This year has kept me busy with photography and teaching and sadly, not much Project Life... but as always, December Daily MUST happen! I LOVE this project and am committed to doing it again... for the 8th time. :) Just check out that bunch of albums! I gathered with my favourite local memory keepers in November to put together our albums and have an afternoon of playing. By the end of our time together I was feeling excited for the season to begin. My page protectors were in place, the cards from the Ali Edwards Main Kit and numbers from my stash had been slot in roughly where they would be used. My front page and opening thoughts page were also complete... And here were are... all of a sudden it's December 2! Here are my pages so far. Thanks for following along. You may see me here later but absolutely on instagram! x
This year I am a member of The Stamp Spot Documenting December 2015 design team. I am using Michelle's kit as a foundation for my album this year. This is still available at her store. I'm linking up with Ali Edwards, the brains behind December Daily too. The Story of Today is about Tilly finding her letter from Santa, of the every day and the traditions of Christmas. She was so excited to find that Santa's elves had delivered her letter from Santa. She was out with her dad when it arrived and I told her that I heard some bells when she was out and to check if there was anything near the front door. We then said that the elves sometimes deliver the mail for Santa. Just a little bit of magic.
We always sing the 'jacaranda' chorus in the car and I wanted to document that story as well as the music that we've been listening to most this season. Done and done! This year I am a member of The Stamp Spot Documenting December 2015 design team. I am using Michelle's kit as a foundation for my album this year. This is still available at her store. I'm linking up with Ali Edwards, the brains behind December Daily too. The Story of Today was all about our playgroup breakup and our street party. These are events that happen every year and I've enjoyed looking back over past December Daily's and comparing how things change and how things stay the same.
Just a simple grid page, very similar to Ali's here, captioning the small square photos on the left side of the page. Where the invitation for the street party is will soon hold a photo of the kids on the slip 'n' slide, but this has been omitted for privacy. |
