Just to clarify, December Daily® was created by Ali Edwards. In her words. "December Daily® is a mini-album project that documents the 25 days leading up to Christmas. The simple goal is to capture the spirit of December via one story per day." This will be by 6th time participating in the project and it is one that I love.
As part of the design team for The Stamp Spot, I will be using their Documenting December 2014 kit and their Red and Green add on kit (both are now sold out) as a base for my album. I also purchased from The Stamp Spot a Sn@p Studio Red Burlap 6x8 album and various 6x8 page protectors
- Sn@p! Life 6x8,
- Sn@p! Insta Pocket Pages 6x8- 2x2
- PL Photo Pocket Pages 6x8 Design 2
- PL Photo Pocket Pages 6x8 Design 3
- PL Photo Pocket Pages 6x8 Design 4)
So how will I approach this year?
This is the first year that I am using pages protectors. I do Project Life so use pocket pages for that but this is new for me in a December Daily. I imagine that it will be easy for me to slip 3x4, 4x6 and 6x8 photos into the pockets rather than having to fit them into an already created page, but it may take a little getting used to for me.
This is also my first year as the proud owner of a Silhouette Cameo machine so I am excited to be able to add die cuts too- some of my own and others from bought files.
I don't print at home so I will be heading to the shop daily I imagine to get my photos printed. As if the Harvey Norman photo lab don't know me well enough already! ;)
What have I done so far?
I've embellished some 3x4 and 4x6 journal cards so that all I will need to do on the day is journal and slip in my photos, but I am also expecting that I will change things around and I'm ok with that.
I have placed all of my page protectors in place with an idea of what I will be covering each day- based on actual events that are in the diary and stories that I want to tell. I compiled a list of my past stories here.
I'm really happy with my cover page though. I used a page protector with 2x2 squares and I love how it turned out.
It's a good reminder for me about the reason why I celebrate the Christmas season.
Let's go!
