about Beck.
Pleased to meet you! I'm Beck and I live in Melbourne, Australia with my husband Toby and our kids Tilly and Sam. It's not just us though... there's also our rescue dog Kimba the cats, Basil and Milly.
When I'm asked to list my occupation it's always a bit of a funny moment for me. What actually am I?
I am fortunate enough to be able to be at home with the kids a lot of the time, ferrying them to appointments!
When I'm not with them you'll often find me at Beck Holder Photography. I officially launched in 2015 and I love my little business. Connecting with people and capturing them with their loved ones energises and excites me. If you are in Melbourne and are looking to update your family photos I'd love to help you! Come join me on facebook here.
Before the kids came along I was a full time Primary School Teacher. I love watching children grow, learn and explore their world. There's nothing like seeing the sparkle in the eye of a child when something 'clicks'. I now teach part time and love being back in the classroom.
I like... smiling, being creative, photography, scrapbooking, travelling and spending time exploring new places in our camper.
I love... my family, friends, God and the outdoors.
I have a passion for photography and for documenting our lives. The big and the small. The everyday and 'special'. I've been a scrapbooker for years but started using Project Life in 2013 (even if I have plenty of gaps to fill!). Since then there's been no looking back. Project Life provides a home for my treasured photos and a place to record the stories and moments of everyday life that would otherwise be forgotten. I find such joy in looking back through my albums and reliving the weeks past. It's extra special when the kids look through them of their own accord.
I also make a point to document the month of December in a December Daily each year. This concept was developed by Ali Edwards and her thoughts behind the project can be found here.
In 2014 and 2015 I was proud to be a member of the design team for The Stamp Spot, using their Documenting December kit.
This blog is a little bit of everything... it's very neglected but I love the catalogue that it is. Most of the time you can find me on instagram where I'm @beckholdermemorykeeping
Oh yes... I used to blog over at www.tobyandbeck.blogspot.com. There's lots there about Tilly's first year of life and Project Gratitude, where I recorded something that I was grateful for every day of the year in 2012. It was so rewarding!
